Being Mysterious with Nihshank Upadhyay. Code of Life #2
Nihshank, the prodigy from India, launched the code of life towards the end of 2021. In this chapter of the initiative, he talks about the idea of being mysterious.
βHave you ever played a game of chess?β asks Nihshank. Imagine if the player opposite to you knew all the moves that you were going to make. Now, unless you are a superhuman or an engine, there is a 100 per cent chance that you are going to lose the game. Just like chess, the biggest advantage you have in the game of life is whatβs going inside your mind. Your preparation, the next move, your ideas behind it are all crucial elements required to win the game of chess. Similarly, in life, the real power is in your solitude and your plans.
Itβs healthy to open up and share with your loved ones, whether theyβre family or friends. Nihshank explains, βWhat Iβm talking about here is an entirely different facet of existence.β Iβm not saying you shouldn’t talk to your loved ones about your challenges or accomplishments. In reality, given the current state of mental health, itβs always a good idea to talk to people and express yourself, at least to those who truly care about you. However, when it comes to the hustle or the βreal grind,β I believe it is preferable to move in silence. Because this life, this vision isnβt about them; itβs for you. Not everyone needs to know what youβre going to do next. Silence is the only noise I am interested in.Β Β Β
Furthermore, Nihshank believes that it is simple to fall into a βsocial media trap.β βA lot of individuals have a double existence,β he says, βfalling into the social media trap.β This is not a blanket word; not everyone falls into this category, but we all know or see people who are attempting to portray a flawless existence through what is essentially a marketing tool. They begin to define themselves in terms of the number of likes or followers they have, which can lead to an identity problem. Iβm not going to get into that right now, but this is where we have to draw the line. Your worth should not be determined by how others perceive you. You shouldnβt feel obligated to act in a way that isnβt genuine to yourself, only to please others. If you find yourself oversharing things, and it ends up hurting you physically or mentally, then this is the code to think about. Also, I donβt think Iβm the ideal person to answer the subject of being mysterious anymore because the codes have already revealed a lot of secrets, Nihshank remarked lightheartedly.
Being mysterious entails being responsible for oneβs actions. No one can stop you from achieving your goals if you are honest with yourself. You should be able to think critically about your activities and commit to the process. Sit at the table until youβre ready to show your cards, analyze the other games, and perhaps learn from them. Only when you believe the time is appropriate should you play your hand. You will have more answers than questions in life if you listen and observe more. It is, in my opinion, one of the most important competitive advantages you can have in todayβs market. People canβt ruin what they donβt know!
